Breakfast and brunch favorite Wild Eggs is adding a New Albany, Indiana location.

The new restaurant will be located at 223 West 5th Street. This space formerly housed Daisy’s Cafeteria. Floyd County records show this land, which is near the Sherman Minton Bridge, is owned by Backyard Realty LLC.

This is the fifth Wild Eggs to open in Indiana and the fifteenth restaurant for the concept, according to a news release. The restaurant opening is targeted for the first half of 2022 and will employ approximately 50 people.

“We are excited to bring Wild Eggs to New Albany. Joining the New Albany community has been a goal for us for a long time. The strong growth in the area certainly makes it an attractive market and one that we feel will complement our operation in Jeffersonville,” Bill Stenzhorn, President of Wild Eggs, said in the release.

Wild Eggs is a contemporary breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant established in Louisville in 2007. The restaurant offers a chef-driven menu, as well as an espresso bar. Mimosas made with in-house fresh squeezed orange juice are among the specialty drinks served on the cocktail menu.

Restaurants are open daily for breakfast and lunch from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm weekdays and 7 am to 3 pm on weekends.
