OAKLEY – A new restaurant will provide customers with a chance to make their own omelet. Wild Eggs will open at Oakley Station in the coming months.

“(Our) intention is to provide a better breakfast experience with high end service,” said Jeffrey “JD” Rothberg, founder and president of Wild Eggs.

Both Rothberg and co-owner Shane Hall have a background in fine dining.

Both come from what Hall describes as a “white tablecloth background.”

In addition to a more high end atmosphere, Wild Eggs will also serve a unique selection of items.

In addition to a “build your own” omelet section with a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables, Wild Eggs will have items such as the Calamity Katie, named after Rothberg’s daughter. The Calamity Katie is a corn cake with green chili, a poached egg and other ingredients.
