Wild Eggs Expands to Columbus

Wild Eggs Expands to Columbus with October Opening

Restaurant Hospitality News Editorial Staff

Louisville breakfast-and-brunch chain Wild Eggs plans its first Columbus location for early October, backed by PG Growth Opportunities' multi-concept portfolio strategy.

Wild Eggs, a Louisville-born breakfast-and-brunch concept, is entering the Columbus, Ohio market this fall with a new location on Old Hamilton Road scheduled to open in early October. The chain, founded in 2007, currently operates around 19 locations across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The brand is known for scratch-made morning food served in bright, welcoming spaces positioned above typical daypart competitors. Additional locations are in development across its three-state footprint.

Backing and Portfolio Strategy Wild Eggs is backed by PG Growth Opportunities, the investment group that acquired the brand in 2023. The ownership vehicle has built a small multi-concept portfolio that also includes Crazy Bowls & Wraps, a St. Louis-based healthy fast-casual brand. Each concept operates independently while sharing ownership.

Growth Path Expansion is coming through both company openings and franchising.

Wild Eggs has moved into franchise agreements across eight states, diversifying its growth channels beyond corporate units.

Brand Positioning Recent brand work includes a full website rebuild and seasonal campaigns built around the brunch experience. Kentucky locations offer bottomless mimosas as a seasonal draw.

Why It Matters

With breakfast-and-brunch dayparts increasingly important to casual dining portfolios, Wild Eggs' expansion signals confidence in the scratch-made, elevated positioning in a fragmented regional market. The dual growth model—company and franchised units—mirrors a broader industry trend toward blended development for faster scaling.
