A Statement from Wild Eggs

Wild Eggs has no involvement with Please & Thank You, a Louisville-based bakery and coffee company. We're issuing this statement because recent coverage has caused some confusion on that point, and we want the facts to be clear.

We hold no ownership in Please & Thank You, no financial or operational relationship with it, and we are not a party to the court-approved management agreement recently described in the news. That agreement is between Please & Thank You and private individuals acting in their own capacity, not Wild Eggs.

The confusion likely stems from coverage referring to members of that group as "the founders of Wild Eggs." JD Rothberg and Shane Hall founded Wild Eggs in 2007, and we're grateful for the restaurants they built. Today, they hold no ownership stake and no role in our company. Their involvement with Please & Thank You is their own, and it doesn't speak for us.

Wild Eggs is run by its own team today, with restaurants across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. What hasn't changed is what we're built on: everyone deserves a place where they're somebody, and every guest is welcome at our table, exactly as they are.
